Kurz zusammengefasst
Das Fredl wird schrittweise vollständig durch das FKTT-Portal abgelöst. Die bisher im Fredl vorhandenen Funktionen werden nach und nach ins Portal überführt. Auch die vorhandenen Daten werden migriert, so dass niemand seine Daten neu erfassen muss.
Das FKTT-Portal ist seit 2012 in Betrieb und bildet bereits heute die zentrale Grundlage für viele Inhalte und Funktionen. Das Fredl ist dagegen eine vollständige Eigenentwicklung, die über viele Jahre gute Dienste geleistet hat, technisch inzwischen aber überholt und nur noch schwer sinnvoll erweiterbar ist.
Der Umzug ins Portal soll deshalb nicht nur das bisherige Fredl ersetzen, sondern auch die Grundlage für neue, bessere und komfortablere Funktionen schaffen.
Warum wird das Fredl abgelöst?
Das Fredl ist historisch als eigenständige Anwendung entstanden. Viele Funktionen, die für Treffen, Betriebsstellen, Module, Fahrzeuge und Planung wichtig sind, wurden dort über Jahre aufgebaut.
Technisch ist das Fredl inzwischen jedoch an einem Punkt angekommen, an dem Erweiterungen und Pflege immer schwieriger werden. Gleichzeitig gibt es mit dem FKTT-Portal bereits eine bestehende Plattform, die moderner, besser wartbar und besser erweiterbar ist.
Deshalb werden die Fredl-Funktionen schrittweise ins Portal überführt. Ziel ist eine gemeinsame Lösung statt mehrerer paralleler Systeme.
Was ist der grundsätzliche Plan?
Der Plan ist, das Fredl vollständig durch Funktionen im FKTT-Portal zu ersetzen.
Dazu gehören insbesondere:
- die Übernahme der vorhandenen Fredl-Daten,
- die Verwaltung von Betriebsstellen, Modulen, Fahrzeugen und weiteren Daten im Portal,
- die Anmeldung und Planung von Treffen,
- bessere Such- und Filtermöglichkeiten,
- neue Komfortfunktionen, die im Fredl bisher nicht oder nur eingeschränkt möglich waren.
Die Umstellung erfolgt schrittweise. Nicht alles wird sofort fertig sein, und während der Entwicklung können sich einzelne Abläufe noch ändern.
Testen in der Sandbox
Die neuen Funktionen können bereits auf unserer Sandbox ausprobiert werden:

Dort sind aktuell bereits Betriebsstellendatenblätter und Triebfahrzeuge importiert. Weitere Daten und Funktionen folgen schrittweise.
Bitte beachtet: Die Sandbox ist ein Entwicklungssystem. Das bedeutet, dass dort jederzeit Änderungen stattfinden können. Es kann also vorkommen, dass Funktionen noch nicht vollständig sind, sich Oberflächen ändern oder Fehler auftreten.
Anmeldung in der Sandbox
Für die Anmeldung in der Sandbox nutzt bitte euer bekanntes Fredl-Kürzel.
Damit soll der spätere Wechsel möglichst einfach bleiben: Die bekannte Kennung aus dem Fredl wird auch im Portal weiterverwendet.
Falls die Anmeldung nicht funktioniert, nutzt bitte zunächst die Passwort-zurücksetzen-Funktion oder meldet euch im Forum.
Was soll ich tun, wenn etwas nicht funktioniert?
Wenn euch Fehler auffallen, wenn Daten fehlen oder wenn etwas unverständlich ist, meldet das bitte im Forum.
Hilfreich sind möglichst konkrete Hinweise, zum Beispiel:
- Welche Seite oder Funktion war betroffen?
- Was habt ihr erwartet?
- Was ist stattdessen passiert?
- Welche Daten oder Einträge waren betroffen?
- Lässt sich der Fehler wiederholen?
Bitte denkt daran, dass sich das System noch in Entwicklung befindet. Rückmeldungen sind ausdrücklich erwünscht und helfen dabei, die Funktionen praxisnah weiterzuentwickeln.
Was kommt als Nächstes?
In den nächsten Schritten werden weitere Fredl-Funktionen ins Portal übernommen und vorhandene Funktionen verbessert. Dazu gehören unter anderem weitere Datenimporte, Verbesserungen an Listen und Filtern sowie zusätzliche Funktionen für Treffen und Planung.
Ich werde neue Funktionen und Änderungen weiterhin im Forum vorstellen und dort auch gezielt nach Feedback fragen.

Fredl is moving into the FKTT portal
Summary
Fredl will gradually be completely replaced by the FKTT portal. The functions that were previously available in Fredl will be moved into the portal step by step. The existing data will also be migrated, so nobody has to enter their data again.
The FKTT portal has been in operation since 2012 and already serves as the central basis for many contents and functions. Fredl, on the other hand, is a fully custom-built application. It has served us well for many years, but its technical foundation is now outdated and difficult to extend in a sustainable way.
The move to the portal is therefore not only intended to replace the existing Fredl system, but also to create the foundation for new, better and more convenient functions.
Why is Fredl being replaced?
Fredl was originally developed as a separate application. Over the years, many important functions for meetings, operating locations, modules, vehicles and planning have been built there.
Technically, however, Fredl has reached a point where maintenance and further development are becoming increasingly difficult. At the same time, the FKTT portal already provides an existing platform that is more modern, easier to maintain and easier to extend.
For this reason, Fredl’s functions will gradually be moved into the portal. The goal is to have one shared solution instead of several parallel systems.
What is the general plan?
The plan is to completely replace Fredl with functions in the FKTT portal.
This includes in particular:
- migrating the existing Fredl data,
- managing operating locations, modules, vehicles and other data in the portal,
- meeting registration and planning,
- improved search and filter options,
- new convenience functions that were previously not available in Fredl or only available in a limited way.
The migration will take place step by step. Not everything will be finished immediately, and individual workflows may still change during development.
Testing in the sandbox
The new functions can already be tested in our sandbox:

At the moment, operating location data sheets and locomotives have already been imported. Further data and functions will follow step by step.
Please note: The sandbox is a development system. This means that changes can happen at any time. Some functions may therefore still be incomplete, user interfaces may change, and errors may occur.
Logging in to the sandbox
Please use your known Fredl ID to log in to the sandbox.
This should make the later transition as easy as possible: the familiar Fredl ID will also be used in the portal.
If logging in does not work, please first use the password reset function or report the problem in the forum.
What should I do if something does not work?
If you notice errors, missing data or anything unclear, please report it in the forum.
Helpful reports include as much detail as possible, for example:
- Which page or function was affected?
- What did you expect to happen?
- What happened instead?
- Which data or entries were affected?
- Can the error be reproduced?
Please remember that the system is still under development. Feedback is very welcome and helps to improve the functions in a practical way.
What comes next?
In the next steps, further Fredl functions will be moved into the portal and existing functions will be improved. This includes additional data imports, improvements to lists and filters, and further functions for meetings and planning.
